Details: Michael Friedman, Ph.D. is a clinical psychologist who has been studying how psychological processes impact us as individuals and as a society for over 20 years. He attended the University of Pennsylvania as an undergraduate, Yale University for his graduate studies, and completed his clinical internship and post-doctoral fellowship at Brown University. He has authored and co-authored several academic papers and book chapters and has presented his work at both national and international conferences. Dr. Friedman writes a regular blog for both Psychology Today and Huffington Post. He has also written articles for CNN, USA Today, Fox News and Everyday Health, and has appeared on NPR and Wall Street Journal Radio. His upcoming book “Rocking in the Vegan World” is a collection of interviews of vegan musicians including Moby, Rob Zombie and Linda Perry. His upcoming podcast called “Not So Nuts: Your Path To Purpose” will include celebrity interviews discussing how they overcame barriers to achieve success. He has received grant funding from the National Institute of Mental Health and National Alliance for Research on Schizophrenia and Depression. He has received awards for his work from the Association for the Advancement of Cognitive and Behavioral Therapy, Society for Behavioral Medicine and the Association for Clinical Psychosocial Research. He is currently a member if the Medical Advisory Board at EHE International and has a private practice in Manhattan.
