Tired of the same old depictions of kids in the ghetto, The Voice of Harlem has taken it upon himself to return New york Hip-Hop to its party essence, stressing dancing and having a good time while consciously staying away from the same old gangster and misogynistic lyrics associated with so many new york hip hop artists today. Being older than most hip hop artist gives The Voice of Harlem a distinct advantage in returning hip hop to its essence because he actually witnessed hip hop in its infancy stages and has a direct feel for what teens are listening to today. Starting with commentating summer basketball tournaments, most notably The Entertainers Basketball Classic on 155th street and 8th ave, and The Kingdome Classic located on 115th street and 5th ave. This experience gave The Voice of Harlem his witty style and also exposed him to the fan base that has followed his music career. In the spring of 2006 ,The Voice of Harlem was approached by DJ Webstar and Young B to appear on their dance track "The Tone-Wop" the success of this song led to the recording of " Chicken Noodle Soup" which solidified The Voice of Harlem as a national recording entity. With his own follow-up hit " No Music aka The Harlem March" The Voice of Harlem proved that he could carry a song on his own and further cemented himself as a double threat entertainer by being the only person to go from the basketball court to the booth. Now with the Remix of Harlem March " The Bend and Stretch featuring Diddy and NORE" The Voice of Harlem has taken over the Harlem music scene with his infectious style and unending energy causing industry insiders to label him the Next big thing on the music scene.
