Ed Lover
Is producer of Come Back Kings he is a rapper, actor, musician, radio personality, and former MTV VJ. Currently hosts "The Ed Lover Show" on SiriusXM's Old Skool rap station BackSpin. Roberts is best known for saying “C’mon, son!” and being the co-host of the weekday version of MTV's hip hop music specialty program Yo!MTV Raps Today with partner André "Doctor Dré" Brown. (The main weekend version was hosted by hip hop pioneer "Fab Five Freddy" Brathwaite) On Yo! MTV Raps Today, Ed created his own dance called the Ed Lover Dance that became somewhat popular in the 1990s and was performed to the track "The 900 Number" by DJ Mark the 45 King. He was later a radio personality on New York's Hip-Hop Radio Power 105.1 FM. Ed is currently the host of the hit TV show Hip Hop Hold ’Em along with the self-produced web show called C’mon, Son! edited and post production by BrowCo.On June 21,2014 Ed Lover became part of the Old School 100.3 FM family in Philadelphia with his own “The Ed Lover Show” Saturdays from 10am to 3pm and Sundays from 3pm-7pm. In 2009, Ed Lover created a series on YouTube titled "C’mon, Son!" in which he criticized the errant acts of celebrities. The intro music produced by American producer Raphael RJ2 of Beats How U Want Em contains a sample of Ed Lover’s voice saying "C’mon, Son!"
Black Rob
Black Rob is a rapper who was formerly signed to Bad Boy Records. Black Rob began associating with the label as early as 1996, appearing on the Bad Boy remix to 112's "Come See Me". He was then featured on several other Bad Boy releases including remixes to Total's "What About Us" (1997) and Faith Evans's "Love Like This" (1998), the song "24 Hours To Live" (1997) from Mase and albums by Puff Daddy & the Bad Boy Family (1997) and The Notorious B.I.G (1999). He also made two appearances on Cru 1997 album Da Dirty 30, as well as albums by Ol Dirty Bastard, Channel Live, The Madd Rapper, Benzino, Tony Touch, and others. These guest appearances earned him a media buzz and he kept attention with the hit single "Whoa!". Following this, the album Life Story was released in 2000 and rose above Platinum sales.
Mr. Cheeks
Mr. Cheeks is a Grammy Award winning rapper best known for his work with the musical group Lost Boyz, and his career as a solo artist. Mr. Cheeks, who was mentored by his uncle Gil Scott-Heron, along with band mates Freaky Tah (1971–1999), Spigg Nice and Pretty Lou made up The Lost Boyz. The Lost Boyz practiced a sincere, literate non-sensational style of New York hip-hop and produced a number of singles including; "Lifestyles of the Rich and Shameless" (1994), "Jeeps, Lex Coups, Bimaz & Benz" (1995) and "Renee" (1996). Lost Boyz gained worldwide critical acclaim following the release of the albums; Legal Drug Money in 1996, Love, Peace & Nappiness in 1997, and LB IV Life in 1999.
Du “Doitall” Kelly
Du Kelly, a/k/a DoItAll (one-third of the Legendary Platinum selling hiphop trio LORDS OF THE UNDERGROUND) who gave us classics records like CHIEF ROCKA, & FUNKY CHILD which inspired the FRENCH MONTANA hit “SHOT CALLER” & the Notorious BIG's Machine Gun Funk Record along with numerous artist free-styling over the classics created by the trio. Du is also an accredited Screen Actors Guild actor and a member of ACTORS EQUITY ASSOCIATION. Du has secured independent film & television roles such as 30 Rock (NBC), Law & Order (NBC), Soprano's (HBO), OZ (HBO) & independent feature films such as Durdy Game (Roc) & Cash Rules, which also stars J.D. Williams (The Wire) & Treach of Naughty By Nature, Somewhere In The City (Starring Sandra Bernhardt and Bai Ling) as well as scoring all the music for BOYS TO MEN a documentary by award winning film maker Fredrick Marx. Du has recently added PRODUCER to his credit with the production of an independent movie titled “ZOO” starring Jermaine Hopkins (Juice/Lean on me) & THE LOST BOOK OF RAP which he produced cast and acted in.Du is the CEO of 211 MEDIA GROUP (www.211mediagroup.com) a company that specializes in all aspects of media from print work, websites, graphic design, and television and film production. He also speaks at Men's seminars schools and upliftment centers. Du has also been a consultant to educators about Entertainment, Hip Hop, Life and the Pop culture. He is definitely a voice in his community of Newark, NJ as well as the rest of the country. His love for community awareness has made him a co-founder and Chairman of a non-profit call 211 Community Impact (www.211communityimpact.org) which is co-founded by Dr. Lauren Wells and Eion Haynes and has a focus around Literacy. Treach
Treach, is a rapper and actor. He is best known as the lead rapper of the Hip Hop group Naughty by Nature. With Naughty by Nature, Treach worked with fellow group members Vin Rock and DJ Kay Gee. Sometimes he would share verses on songs with Vin Rock, but often, especially on the group's earlier albums, Treach would be the sole performer on the song. Examples of this are some of the group's most well known singles from their self-titled second album, such as "O.P.P.," and "Ghetto Bastard". "O.P.P." peaked at #6 on the Billboard Hot 100, making it one of the most successful crossover songs in rap history. The song has become well known in pop culture, being mentioned in TV shows and films such as The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, Malibu's Most Wanted, My Wife and Kids, Monk, and The Office. "O.P.P." also gained critical acclaim, being named one of the top 100 rap singles of all time in 1998 by The Source magazine, and being ranked the 20th best single of the '90s by Spin magazine. Later, the group had multiple hits from its third and fourth albums, called 19 Naughty III and Poverty's Paradise respectively. Both albums reached the #1 spot on the R&B/Hip-Hop Charts. "Hip Hop Hooray" was a success from the album 19 Naughty III. Its video was directed by Spike Lee and featured other hip-hop artists popular in the early 1990s, including Queen Latifah, Eazy-E, Run-D.M.C. Poverty's Paradise won the Grammy Award in 1996 for Best Rap Album, becoming the first album to win this award. It also spawned a hit song in "Feel Me Flow" which peaked at #17 on the Billboard Hot 100. Treach's chiseled physique has helped him land roles in crime films, television crime dramas and as a leading man in romance films, including a full frontal in the 2001 crime comedy Love and a Bullet.
Jermaine Hopkins
At 14 years of age, Hopkins fell into the acting business when his mother brought him to a cattle-call audition in New York for the Warner Bros. feature
Lean on Me, a starring role as Thomas Samms, a misguided drug-abusing high school student. His next project
Juice, directed by Ernest R. Dickerson, had him starring as Steel alongside
Khalil Kain,
Omar Epps and
Tupac Shakur. Hopkins subsequently starred in the HBO worldwide release "
Strapped", that would be
Forest Whitaker's directorial debut. Over the next two years, Hopkins appeared in episodes of "Murder One" and "
Moesha", and six episodes as Dupree on "The Wayans Brothers" series, before finishing production on his next film "
How to Be a Player", starring opposite
Bill Bellamy and comedian Pierre Edwards.
Jameio
American R&B Artist, Musician, and Producer. He has penned songs for Ruff Endz, Dru Hill's member (Woody) solo album. He was first signed with highly acclaimed music group Born In August on By Storm Universal. Where he was the lead singer and produced half of their debut LP. He's produced song's for Hussein Fatal and Craig Mack. In 2004 he had the Hit Single "Wife You" and "You ain't Sh!# ft. Bird Gang's N.O.E. Having success independently has been easy for him as he has a core fan base that supports his songs downloading them every time he releases a single to the tune of over 492,000 downloads.
Nashawn Kearse
Nashawn Kearse is a Stage, Television, and Film actor. He started his acting career with the City Kids repertory company with actor like Malik Yoba, and Donald Faison. They performed everywhere from Mcdonald's parking lots to Broadway, and Carniege Hall. Nashawn has gone on to star in films like "Marci X" with Damon Wayans and Lisa Kudrow "My Brother" in which he starred in with Vanessa Williams and Tatem Oneil. His other film credits include "Cross Bronx", "Your Nobody until Somebody kills you" and "The Briefcase" Nashawn's television roles include being part of the cast of "Desperate Housewives" where he played the mentally challenged character" Caleb Applewhite". Also a recurring role on HBO's "Entourage". Other television roles include "Sopranos", "The Shield", "Law and Order Criminal Intent", and "New York Undercover". Nashawn wants to continue to affect people with his talent.
