The Award winning MR. Every Day is the God Son of the Legendary God Father of Rap Gil Scot Heron. Every Day is a fledging Entrepreneur who wears many hats as an on air personality DJ, Writer, Film maker, Artist & CEO of Past Life Entertainment a Multi Media company Based in the Capital of NY.
Every Day came into the world by way of a Cherokee Indian mom who was a dancer and a Bahamian father who was a Drummer / Poet. At the age of three, Every Day toured with Stevie Wonder and his Godfather Gil Scott Heron (1st artist signed to Clive Davis).
As a youth, Every Day would develop as a break-dancer, singer, and rapper. Every Day was also a four-sport varsity Letterman, which led him to an impromptu meeting of 3rd Bass & Mc Serch while playing football for The University of Buffalo. It was there MC Serch discovered him designing & promoting racial unity through t-shirts. Every Day then designed the 3rd Bass tour T-shirt and went on the road. It was on his 1st tour with Public Enemy and A Tribe Called Quest that he developed his eye for fashion and his hunger to rhyme. Being a part of two rap groups named Poetic Justice & AZUR (as you are) led him to a deal with Quincy Jones’s Californian record label, Qwest Records. Things fell through and Every Day, at this time known as The Voice of Faith Child, began a three-year stint as the Publicist & Co-host of Kevin Keith & The Dirty Dozen on 105.9fm, which had a seven-year run as one of the highest rated underground hip, hop stations. While on 105.9fm, Every Day along with the rest of the staff helped to launch careers of Wu-Tang Clan, Mos Def, Talib Kweli, Reflection Eternal, The ROOTS and Dead Prez, just to name a few.
After the turn of the new millennium (2000) Every Day changed his focus to the fashion industry working as a Jr Partner & Marketing Director for Entrig Urban Upscale with Maseo of De La Soul. This proved to be his new calling until the company disbanded. It is from this point that Every Day with both aspects of the game in tow began to consult for various clothing lines & artists connecting both to each other. It was around this time that he began consulting for & managing various artists signed to record Mogul P Diddy’s Bad Boy entertainment.
These days Every Day is the Chairman, Founder & CEO of Past Life Entertainment Group LLC, Past Life is a multimedia public relations company that handles everything from video & film production, song placement for radio, publishing, A&R scouting, artist management & development, production management, creative writing, retail consulting, marketing & promotions for models, fashion styles and record labels.
Every Day’s current projects include his new Multi Media film & recording & studio Prodigy Studios LLC, guiding the career of Iconic Author, Artist, Activist & Legendary B BOY MC EL BEE noted as one of the inspirations behind the Group Public Enemy, as well as the expansion of his web site www.pastlife.us, performing writing and producing songs for the upscale candy store franchise Itsugar as “the voice of “Scoop Dawg” and Releasing music and films in Europe featuring Past Life Entertainment artist Melo Masia, Rhythmic SYNS, Kharakter and Australian Female Artist EX Pynsyve aka DJ Syryouz.
MC EL BEE is credited as one of the original pioneers who brought Hip Hop from the Bronx to Long Island, NY inspiring the formation of the Legendary Rap Group Public Enemy.
The legendary M.C. El Bee is one of the "Invisible Legends of Hip Hop", from the GrandMaster Flash and Kool Herk era (Bronx 1974). Before there was such a thing called a Hip Hop record deal, there were street MC's and B-Boys that rocked the crowds, and drove the people crazy with tight moves and slick rhymes.
These were the live performances within the clubs and park jams back then, before the world knew rappers like RUN DMC, Kool Moe D, Sugar Hill Gang and Kurtis Blow. Street MC's were the voice of Hip Hop!!!
The legendary M.C. El Bee is back to bring old school stories over new school beats. His style of MC'ing is both competitive as well as historical. He comes across as a triple threat with his ability to rap, sing and write his own material. His gritty soulful voice along with Streetwise poetry is bound to lift your mind and elevate your soul.
Melo aka Livewire aka Masia was born 1983, & raised in Harlem New York’s, "Taft projects" Rhyming and performing since the age of 14. However it wasn’t until 1997’ when Melo moved to VA did things really begin to take shape. Melo put together a group better known as Gun Show. The group was very popular during this stretch making a variety of news publications including the popular Daily press News paper in Newport News VA. The group held a memorial ceremony performance for one of their deceased members that seemed to pull a heartstring amongst the community. After a 10-year stretch of doing numerous local events through out the 7-city area Melo realized he might have reached his peek as far as opportunities in VA go. With his biological cousin Every Day producing records and indie film projects, and on a monster grind Managing Bad Boy Recording Artist Black Rob; Melo decided it was time to come back home. Melo has since signed to his cousin Every Day’s imprint Past Life Entertainment. In 2013 Melo began working on his up coming solo projects “Broadcasting Live,” “Watch Me Work” & “Tour De Force.” When asked about signing Melo to Past Life, Every Day had this to say. “People may think I signed Melo just because he’s related to me, when in fact I’m much harder on him and I have even greater expectations of him because he is my blood. The fact of the matter is Melo continues to impress me with his tireless work ethic. “Melo is rawness refined, point blank he’s that pure dope on the block that everybody seems to come back for. With Recent performances at the Indie Summit Awards In LA and heavy rotation in the upstate Market, Melo is set to take the rap world by storm!
