Michael Cherry was born and raised in Queens, New York, in 1969. At a very young age, Michael developed a very unique and original sense of fashion. During his early years of high school, he met several individuals whom he admired and secretly competed with. The most stylish were usually from Brooklyn and Harlem. His love for fashion and detail grew and was very apparent in the way he dressed and wanted to dress. This desire to be the best dressed with style and flair started in his freshman year and continued on a daily basis until he graduated. Many of the clothes were brand named designer or created exclusively by himself. It wasn’t until the age of 25 that Michael’s dream of becoming a fashion designer began to come to fruition. The first brand name that started his career was called "Dada Supreme" formed in 1995. Michael was co-founder and the main designer of this brand. Under his creative direction, he took the brand from $1,000 to millions within 5 years. The second brand that he also co-founded and exclusively designed for was "Cezer" another huge success in the market and is still highly sought after. That’s when he decided to step out from the shadows and embark on his own with his signature brand. In 2012 “Michael Cherry” launched. Within the first year, it was embraced and well received by many of the same customers of his previous brands. The brand bears his name and signature “MC” logo. Michael’s vision is crystal clear and he intends to follow in the footsteps of other top designers such as “Ralph Lauren, Giorgio Armani, & Hugo Boss”. He will own and operate several different divisions and brands under one corporate umbrella. Michael Cherry will continue to offer consistent amazing design and quality for the discerning customer looking to make a bold and fearless fashion statement.
