Details: Kelvin D. Gerald was introduced to the art of being a DJ in the late 1970’s growing up in the small town of Goldsboro NC. He acquired the love of music at an early age when his parents purchased his first drum set. This was the foundation that forged his love for music that motivated him to learn to read and write music. He was the first ever in his small town to be in four bands at the same time at the age of 11 years of age, which one of the bands was High School Marching without being a High School Student. Upon graduating High School he pursued his dream of becoming a professional DJ. Once again his motivation lead him to be once again a first in his endeavors to be the youngest DJ in NC to play adult clubs while he was still a minor like Disco City, Pooneys Lounge, The Chic, and the Starburst. He later entered the U.S. Army yet he was serving his country he continued to hone his skill DJing around the world and at home. Upon returning from oversees he was recruited by Bobby Jefferies the program director for Fox 99.1 in Fayetteville NC to be the first DJ ever do a 4 hour a mix show DJ called The Fox Rocks. This was yet another first added to his many accomplishments in his young career. Now living in New York City he has made a name for himself in many circles within the DJ community as a young entrepreneur and professional DJ. He has performed at many prestigious events throughout New York, New Jersey, Connecticut and the East Coast. He as may other accolades outside being a DJ. He is the president of the New York Chapter of the DGAF, which is a non-profit grass roots organization formed in his home town of Goldsboro NC, which gives out approximately $100,000 per year in college scholarships. He is also the Chairperson for the African American Employee Committee for the Department of Veteran Affairs and last but not least he is the founder and owner of Clientel Radio and Clientel Productions.
