Details: DJ Diamond "Americas Favorite DJ" Born in Brooklyn, DJ Diamond began his Hip-Hop career at age 8 when introduced to two turntables and a mixer. At age 13, he relocated to Brentwood, Long Island and began establishing himself as a the "go-to" party DJ in the area . While rocking these parties, he befriended a local rapper named Eric Sermon. After teaming up with Parish Smith, the Hip-Hop super group EPMD was formed. After a gold debut album, and rigorous touring schedule, Diamond decided to expand his horizons. Being competitive by nature, DJ Diamond entered the battle scene and found his niche. After winning several titles, he was awarded the prize of a lifetime...Diamond was asked to be the tour DJ for Prince and the New Power Generation. This position afforded Diamond the opportunity to rub elbows with some of the biggest names in the industry such as Patty Labelle, Madonna, Bono of U2, Lenny Kravitz and Carmen Elektra to name a few. After being at the helm of two world tours and co-producing projects with Prince, he decided it was time to head back to New York. Upon his return, DJ Diamond was selected for MTV's Making the Band II . Diamond effortlessly beat some of the top DJs in the country for the official "Making the Band" DJ. Thereafter, Diamond was approached to do another big project. After finishing up his work with Bad Boy, Diamond signed on to become Beyonce's "Dangerously In Love" world tour DJ While also holding down a Major Time Slot on Sirius/XM Radio. Since then, Diamond has been commissioned to be the official in-house DJ for The Guess Stores where he is featured every week Spinning While Shoppers Dance & Sing Along. In other realms, DJ Diamond has become a full fledged business owner constructing one of the hottest recording houses in the tri state area. Along side super engineer Lenny Ace, Diamond opened BPM Studios located in Long Island, NY. Diamond Music Service (D.M.S.) is a full service entertainment company (7 years in the making) dedicated to its mission statement... "Talent Comes First"! Upon his return to New York, he bumped in to long-time friend, Poetic of Gravediggaz, who immediately recruited him
to be their official tour DJ. Back in his preferred element, DJ Diamond began sharpening his lyrical skills. A few choice features landed him his first solo recording contract. However, still passionate about his craft, DJ Diamond tried out for MTV/P. Diddy’s Making the Band II, effortlessly beating all of the DJ’s in the country. He was Diddy’s #1 pick for the band. Later on, he also became Beyonce's favorite DJ.
