Aurora Anthony was born in Los Angeles and moved to New York at age three. Living on 2nd Street and Avenue B, he was exposed at a young age to graffiti and NYC’s hiphop scene. An active graffiti artist tagging all over the city, Aurora started rapping casually at age 13. “I was into Biggie, Kanye, Jay- but also Adventure Club and Alien Ant Farm,” he says. When he turned 16 he started taking it more seriously and began recording songs. “I was into a bunch of battle rappers, and senior year of high school I cut every class to make a mixtape with my friend Quan. After that went off I decided to just drop out and pursue music full time.” Utilizing his various creative sensibilities, he’s since been hands on with every music project- directing his own videos and making the cover art.
