Biography
Ashley Martinez is an established R&B,Pop artist. She has many years of studio recording experience and has written all of her original material. She has worked with numerous producers over the years such as Baby Paul (Atlanta, GA), J. Staffz (Toronto, on), Beat Merchant (Toronto, on), Sheldon Moore (Toronto, on), Kemo (Vanguards, Vancouver, B.C.), Jared Lee-Gosselin (Los Angeles, Ca), Nelson Davis (Detroit, Mi., Columbia Records), and she is currently working with Daniel Martino @ the Big Room Studios in Toronto where she currently has a catalogue of over 31 mastered original tracks. Ashley is also trying to do a little EDM music with an EDM producer by the name Basshouse.
Ashley had a distribution & promotional agreement with Akon’s Hitlab on her song Letting Go, which was also been picked up by 108 radio stations. This stems from her entry in their yearly competition for artists to submit their original music and Ashley placed top 10 out of over 40,000 applicants.
In April 2012 Ashley head out to New York where she had a one on one meeting with Lenny Santiago, VP A&R of Def Jam music. Lenny provided good advice to Ashley about the in’s and out’s of the industry. Ashley was very thankful and continued her musical journey. In November 2012, Ashley flew to Fiji to represent Canada in the Miss World Supermodel Pageant and performed at their closing ceremony. Ashley was also a National Finalist in the 2013 Miss Universe Canada Pageant. In September 2012 Ashley opened up for rapper Meek Mill in Miami, Fl.
Ashley recorded a track with a rapper from New York City in January 2013 by the name of Mike Baggz and the track called “Toniht In Old English”. The track peaked at number 85 on the national radio airplay charts. Throughout the years Ashley has performed many showcases. In August 2011 she was a finalist in an all girl competition called Honey Jam where many big acts were founded. May 2012, Ashley was asked to enter Battle of the Bands in Toronto, where she found herself making the finals. In September 2012, Ashley was asked to enter Coast2Coast mixtape competitions in Miami, where she placed 3rd. February 2013, Ashley headed to Nyc to perform at another showcase for Mr. Wise McGriff, an A&R for 6 different labels, also the marketing director for Def Jam music. Ashley is currently writing, composing, recording new material and her most recent shows are as follows: June 22nd-The Hard Rock Cafe, June 23st-Sugar Beach, July 27th for Tit for Tat charity and August 19th Coast2Coast Event. Ashley has also made the Top Trends List for being most talked about on Twitter in Canada.
Ashley Martinez has recently recorded her new single ‘Memory’ with G-Units, Tony Yayo. She headed out to NYC in late October for a meeting with a music executive at a major label. She also headed to Hot 97 where she had a spot in the hot box with Dj Enuff. Ashley headed out to ATL just earlier this year march 2014 where she worked on 6 singles with hit producers such as Brian Michael Cox, Kendrick Dean, Bamdilla, LTMO,Dj Toomp and more. Ashley's single 180 is currently playing on radio stations in the states such as Vegas, Palm Springs, Huntsville, NYC and more. Look out for her record 180. Ashley is going to continue striving towards her goals and dreams and will stop at nothing to achieve success.
