Details: DJ Steve Dee, one of the most influential DJ's of our time and the creator of " Beat Juggling,” although the Original Name was "The Funk." Through commercialization "Beat Juggling” as the world knows it was the greatest thing to hit deejaying, since the Scratch. Steve Dee was also a founding member of the original DJ group "The X-Men" and fathered the movement called "Turntablism."  

DJ Steve Dee wanted to make something completely new "The Funk" was his way of expressing himself through the turntables. Beat juggling is the act of manipulating individual drum beats, or vocal phrases, in order to create a unique composition using multiple turntables.

DJ Steve Dee not only single handedly changed the DJ scene with his "Beat Juggling” invention, but he has toured worldwide with some of the most influential R&B & Rap artists. Touring since 1988, DJ Steve Dee has performed across the world to sold out arenas, Presidential Inaugurations, and command performances for the Queen.

DJ Steve Dee’s 1st tour was with the legendary Dougie Fresh & the Get Fresh Crew. The Get Fresh Crew being made up of The Cut Mix Mystro DJ Chill Will, and The Cut Professor DJ Barry Bee an influential DJ to all and to DJ Steve Dee.

DJ Steve Dee has toured with R&B giant Teddy Riley’s “Guy & BlackStreet” group, Wreckx n Effect with their monumental hit "Rump Shaker". DJ Steve Dee also deejayed for the ever controversial Luther ‘Luke Skywalker aka Uncle Luke’ Campbell of the notorious "2 Live Crew".

In 1990 DJ Steve Dee took time out of his hectic tour, and music production schedule to enter and annihilate the competition in the New Music Seminar Battle for World Supremacy. In addition, in 1991 he won the DMC East Coast Championship.

DJ Steve Dee`s prominence in the DJ realm has lead him to perform on the international megastar Michael Jackson "Dangerous" album and with Japanese superstar Toshi Kubota. Even before being apart of these great ventures, Steve Dee’s contribution to the art of deejaying was solidified when he introduced to the world "The Funk" aka Beat Juggling.

In 2000 DJ Steve Dee was inducted into the "DMC DJ HALL of FAME" for his immense contribution to the world of deejaying. DJ Steve Dee is the difference between a DJ who just plays records, and one who actually manipulates the sounds on the record. DJ Steve Dee has help elevate deejaying to the art form it truly is.

In 2001 DJ Steve Dee appeared in “Scratch” a DJ documentary film that examined the cultural and historical perspectives on the birth and evolution of The Hip Hop DJ, from scratching, and turntablism.

In June 2005 DJ Steve Dee celebrated his 20th year in the DJ world, and continues to motivate, innovate, and celebrate the art form of “The Funk.”
