J Star is a female songwriter/Hip-Hop recording artist and entertainer from White Plains N.Y. Ms Star was born into a musically family, so it was just a matter of time before she stepped into the spotlight herself. J Star hung around her parent's studio and was introduced to some of Hip-Hop and R&B's greatest including, the Wu Tang Clan.
After graduating from North Rockland High School, J Star learned a lot about rapping by sitting in on artists recording sessions that have influenced her music style and flow. Some of her musical influences are Tupac, B.I.G., Wu Tang and Aaliyah.
The Features
With a newfound confidence J Star moved back to New York anxious to get into the studio to record. She got together with Ever Supreme and CX to feature on a song called "Bad Dreams".
Looking to expand her talents, J Star moved to Las Vegas and joined Donna Wauhob Agency and Talent Casting Entertainment to pursue an acting career. Through the agency's resources and to her credit, J Star has appeared in and worked on MTV's Award shows, the Billboard Awards and Say What Karaoke game show including Oceans 12, Undisputed and Rush Hour 2 feature films.
"Trouble", the first (promotion only) release from J Star featuring 150Blaz3 and Bankz contains original rap metaphors that have the ingenuity reminiscent of some of music's female rappers that have taken Hip Hop to the next level. Keep your eyes and ears open for J Stars' new promotional music video, "Trouble". This video could possibly kick start J's career and send it soaring to the stars!
J Star's lyrical delivery emulates the unquestionable sincerity that she lives. She drops memorable bars whether it's on "The Mission", "Best Of' Em", "Fukk Wit Me", "G.T.O. Cypher" or "Fame Freestyle".
