Details: Spyder D Artist/Producer/Record Label ExecutiveSpyder D, a legendary pioneering rapper and producer from Queens, NY, was the first rap artist to open up his own record label in which he wrote and produced his first hit record, “Big Apple Rappin”. Spyder has just completed a double album, entitled "Spyder D's Greatest Skits Volume 1 and 2", spawned by the controversial lead single “ I Hate Being Black”, an unflinching social commentary on being Black in America. The tragic events still haunting the country seem to echo every lyric within the composition. He has also written a book based directly off of the words of the song, which were based off of his lifetime experience growing up in Hollis, Queens, New York. Spyder has shared his experiences in the music industry, through his autobiography: “So You Wanna Be a Rapper”, as told to and written by Mark Skillz and foreword written by Hip Hop Mogul Russell Simmons.
