Shondel amada aka dash was born on the 10th of November 1990. He grew up in the community of la borie with his brothers and sisters where he was involved in many sporting activities from a young age. He grew up with a love and appreciation for music. This nack for music was nurtured and developed when he began to play steel pan for the commoncheros steel orchestra, a band he is still a member of. His musical abilities were further harnessed when he joined the royal Grenada police force band. He is an exceptional drummer and vocalist.His music career began as a hip hop artiste. voicing tunes with his group FMTP. The group decided to take a try at soca in 2013. They recorded their first tune with afibah McQueen aka black majik and in 2014 they penned 5 more soca tunes, entering the national soca monarch for the first time but Failing to make it past the preliminaries. They were more successful in the cc6 flow knock out where they placed third.2015 is the year "dash " enetered the soca monarch competition again as a solo artist. He advanced to the semi finals of the competition.Dash is an extremely talented artiste. And has already hit the airwaves for 2016 with his single " no company". His motive is to please the people with good music of a high standard
