Director, writer, producer and actor, Waled “Wali World” Burgos was born on May 31, 1974. As a proud native of the South Bronx, he developed his love for life and his talent for interacting with people from all walks of life. In his earlier years, he went on tour with his brother (from another mother) AG from Hip Hop group Show Biz & AG. During this period, he performed as a hype man and was featured on the Good Fellas album. He also used his creativity to produce three tracks on AG’s album, The Dirty Version.For years, Wali has been known to be a phenomenal storyteller and at many times extremely comedic without even trying. He always saw human nature from different angles and knew how to bring it to light and spark in depth conversations. He was further inspired by directors such as Spike Lee, John Singleton, and Quentin Tarantino on how they tell stories that mean something and get people thinking deeply.After years of contemplating on a few pet projects, he decided to present his Romantic Comedy “The Checklist” as his first production which exposes controversial relationships between family, friends and lovers. Wali’s future endeavors include developing more plays and eventually movies to be enjoyed by audiences world-wide!Wali is the proud father of three children; Diamond, Khalid and Denvah. Wali comes from a tight-knit and loving family and is the youngest of his siblings, Khalid and Asia. He is thrilled to be creating a legacy for his family with The Check List being just the beginning.
