V.A.I.N.(Verbal Assault Is Nasty ) is a rap recording artist who was born and raised in Queens, NYC.
V.A.I.N. has a catalog of over 500 Hip hop songs, and numerous mixtapes.
He made his first official mark on the music scene with his first release, “Toss Da Paper”. The Rap Song was a collaboration between Vain and M. Reck and was picked up by the Overseas Da Source Record Label .
The remix features Bab’s Bunny of P.Diddy’s famed T.V. Show, “Making The Band.”
VAIN subsequently worked under Indie recording Label Top Of The Building. While at Top of the Building, VAIN collaborated with platinum recording artist Lil Mo on the song, Make Up , which is a rap / r&b version of the Stylistics Classic hit, “Make Up to Break Up. ”
Vain’s next single was on Indie record label Vain-Gogh. “All the Good Girls” features famed lead singer, Slim of 112 . VAIN is also featured on Slim’s remix of the single ,” Good Lovin,” featuring Ryan Leslie and Fabolous.
VAIN’s follow up single was, “Show Off ,” which features rappers Jim Jones of Love and Hip Hop fame and St. Laz. “Show Off,” was produced on Indie recording label Vain-Gogh in 2010. The video and song appear on numerous online video and music websites such as Woldstarhiphop, MTV and BET among others. ” Show Off,” was also aired on MTV’s premier video show “MTV Jams.”
The publicity that the Show off video garnered helped to catapult VAIN into the Hip hop music spotlight.
Following Show Off VAIN released his much anticipated mixtape Made…in America/ All Ghetto titled after his hit single of the same name,
” All Ghetto,” which features Red Cafe of Bad Boy Records. The mixtape also features his collaboratons with Slim of 112, Lil Mo and Jim Jones.
Vain’s music has garnered AirPlay nationally and he has logged over 3000 Mediabase and BDS spins around the country including NYC with support by some of NYC’s most respected Hip Hop DJ’s on both Power 105.1 and Hot 97.
Vain owns an extensive
Videography in addition to his discography. Vain has written and produced a long list of videos which include Make Up f/Lil Mo, Show Off f/ Jim Jones and All Ghetto f/ Red Cafe, Keepin It Gangsta starring Cover Model Lia Cha and I Love It produced and featuring legendary D.J. Jazzy Joyce. It also stars actress Laneya Wiles.
