Eunike DaBoss is a female hip hop artist who was born in one of New York City’s most infamous Gheo’s, Harlem. It was at a ࢢme when Grand Master Flash and The Furious Five Emcee’s ruled the world of Hip Hop. She could see the words. She could relate them to the conditions that surrounded her. Hip-Hop was alive in her eyes and it sparked her love for it. While growing up, it would be artist like MC Lyte, Rakim, Queen Latifah, and KRS 1 whose styles would peak her interest. Their ability to convey thoughts that invoked movement, or paint pictures with words intrigued her most. Later, arist like the late great Tupac showed her activism at its finest & Notorious BIG, that showed her she could finesse just about anything on a track. Her young age took her to Europe with the US ARMY where she traveled the world winning Rap Contest and learning that she too could have a voice in Hip-Hop. Today, she uses that voice to promote positive movement, not just in her local community but in the internatonal community abroad. She has partcipated in various rallies and marches that speak out against the injustices against men, women, and children. She has performed at charitable events which raise awareness to causes like gun violence and domestic violence. She has participated in numerous events that work towards developing and stimulating the minds of our youth. She wants her music to be a tool, not just to reach people, but to touch them, to move them, to remind them that they are not alone. That they can achieve any and all of their goals by using the power of the mind and that while life may not always be easy, they can overcome any obstacle if they just keep going. Her mission is to is to elevate Hip-Hop to a state of Helping Healing and Motivating the lives of others. These messages can be found and heard in her music. “It’s like a jungle sometimes, so I get lost in a rhyme, I sit back and let my soul unwind”-Eunike DaBoss, Hip-Hop Music.
