A comedian or comic is a person who seeks to entertain an audience by making them laugh. Raised in New York, Joan Onyx Purviance studied design and illustration at the Fashion Institute of Technology. Onyx interned at YSL and for the next 20+ years enhanced her skills in design, technical design, product development and production. Onyx has worked both full time and as a consultant for some of the most renowned and influential fashion houses, including Ralph Lauren, Club Monaco, Michael Kors, Ted Baker, Jones New York, Macys, Wilke-Rodriguez, Aeropostale, Saks and Sean John to name a few. Onyx, along with her business partners will launch NoiRion, her women’s contemporary label this Fall 2017. Based in New York, NoiRion will deliver edgy,versatile, feminine, timeless fashion for the modern woman.
